Job Scale/ Grade*: NFAPS-09 (Equivalent to BPS-19)
• Responsible for overall operation of the CSU i.e Crime Scene Investigation, Fire Investigation and Accident Investigation departments as an Officer In charge.
• Prepare specific SOPs and documents in accordance with ISO-17025-2017, 21043-2025, PNAC and other local or foreign forensic standards regulatory bodies.
• Supervise quality assurance activities in CSI Unit and ensure compliance with approved NFA SOPs.
• Supervise verifications and validations on periodic basis and as and when required.
• Supervise trainings and competency assessments.
• Ensure liaison with Law Enforcement Agencies LEAs for smooth operation of CSU.
• Manage inventory including instrument/ kits issuance and maintenance, calibration programs and warranty period.
• Assign and change duties of Forensic analysts and Assistant Forensic Analysts as and where required.
• Prepare annual demands for human resource, chemicals, consumables and other supplies.
• Monitor the maintenance of logs, quality documents and crime scene record.
• Report any non-conformance/incident/accident to the Director.
• Appear as an Expert Witness in courts of Law.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director.
A minimum of BS/BE/MSc (16 years education) in natural or applied sciences from a local HEC Recognized University
Or
An equivalent foreign bachelor degree recognized by HEC of Pakistan.
At least 6 months certification to work as a CSI.
At least seven years relevant experience as CSI/DSI in any forensic laboratory/Agency of Federal/ Provincial Government of Pakistan.
