Job Scale/ Grade*: NFAPS-09 (Equivalent to BPS-19)
• Responsible for overall operation of the relevant department.
• Prepare SOPs for analysis of Trace Chemistry in accordance with ISO-17025-2017 and local regulations
• Ensure compliance with approved NFA SOPs.
• Assign casework to Forensic analysts and Assistant Forensic Analysts
• Supervise forensic analysts in performing examinations.
• Manage instrument maintenance, calibration programs and warranty period.
• Prepare annual demands for chemicals, consumables and other supplies
• Conduct training and competency assessments.
• Monitor the maintenance of logs, quality documents, and testing record.
• Report any nonconformance/incident/accident to the Director.
• Method Validation and verification or designee
• Testifying in courts of Law.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director.
Minimum of BS/BE/MSc (16 years education) in Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry or Forensic Science or Explosive Chemistry or Pharm-D from a local HEC Recognized University.
Or
An equivalent foreign bachelor degree recognized by HEC of Pakistan.
At least 6 months certification to work as trace evidence analyst.
At least seven years relevant experience as bench analyst in any forensic laboratory/Agency of Federal/ Provincial Government of Pakistan.
