Job Specification:
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts (SaaS, NDAs, MoUs, vendor & client agreements).
• Ensure compliance with Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016, Electronic Transactions Ordinance (ETO) 2002 , PSS and international laws etc.
• Provide legal advisory support on IT, cybersecurity, fintech, buisness and data privacy regulations.
• Liaise with PTA, MoITT and relevant authorities for compliance with regultory frameworks.
• Represent the organization in legal, arbitration and regulatory proceedings.
• Manage intellectual property, trademarks and licensing issues.
• Conduct legal risk assessments for products and services.
• Coordinate with external and government legal counsel on national and international matters.
• Assist management with corporate governance, board resolutions and statutory compliance filings.
Qualifications:
• LLB or LLM from an HEC-recognized university.
• Foreign qualification (Bar-at-Law / LLM from UK, USA, or EU) will be preferred.
• Certification or short courses in Cyber Law / Data Protection / IT Governance will be an added advantage.
Experience:
• Minimum 15 years of post-qualification experience in corporate, IT, and cyber law, preferably in technology-driven, SaaS, fintech, or government digital transformation projects.
• Strong command of corporate and cyber law frameworks in Pakistan.
• In-depth understanding of PECA 2016, NCSP,PSS and data protection principles.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and contract management skills.
• Strategic thinking, analytical judgment, and leadership ability.
• Effective coordination with regulatory and enforcement bodies (FIA Cyber Crime Wing, PTA, SECP, STZA).
• Experience in public sector projects, fintech regulation, or SaaS product compliance.
• Knowledge of international cyber law, digital evidence, and electronic signature frameworks.
• Familiarity with AI governance, blockchain regulation, and cloud compliance will be a plus
