Job Summary
The Audit Specialist (IT/Systems) is responsible for conducting technical audits of the organisation’s digital infrastructure. Reporting directly to the Manager Internal Audit, this role provides objective assurance on cybersecurity posture, data governance, and the effectiveness of IT controls within a high-stakes, tech-enabled environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Executing specialised audits of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity frameworks, application controls, and digital assets.
• Conducting audits and special investigations related to cybersecurity incidents, cloud operations, and API integrations.
• Preparation of technical planning, execution, and reporting files for all IT-related as-signments. Identifying control weaknesses in digital service delivery and system integri-ty, providing high-standard findings and novel solutions.
• Evaluating the implementation of data governance and the security of partnerdelivered systems. Preparing and presenting IT audit reports with clear technical findings and risk based recommendations.
• Liaising with technical teams (SRE, DevOps, and Data) during audit execution and in-terviews.
• Conducting follow-ups on recommended IT remediation actions and updating the Audit Action Tracker.
• Retaining comprehensive documentation on all IT audits and the status of manage-ment’s technical fixes. Qualifications & Experience
Education:
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree (16 years of education) in Computer Science, IT, Manage-ment Information Systems (MIS), or a related technical field or
• Qualified ACCA, CA, or ACMA or Finalist (ACCA, CA, or ACMA) with a completed Bachelor's degree as above
• CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) or equivalent IT-related audit designa-tions (e.g., CISM, CISSP) are highly desirable.
Experience:
• At least 4 years of experience (both Pre and post qualification) in IT audit, cybersecurity auditing, or systems assurance. Experience in Big 4 Firms will be an advantage
